in
the
first
half
of

 According
to the half-year rankings of Bloomberg, Mergermarket and
Thomson Reuters, Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira continues to
lead the M&A tables in Spain and Portugal, consolidating its
position as the leading law firm for M&A transactions on the
Iberian market.
The Iberian law firm continues to be top in terms of the
number of transactions carried out during the first half of
2011, according to the league tables of Mergermarket. The 21
transactions registered until July almost reach a value of
$18 billion. Bloomberg places the firm in second place for
15 closed transactions with a total value of over $4
billion. In its rankings, Thomson Reuters confirms the
firm’s good work by placing it at the top for mid-market M&A
transactions in the Spanish market, while the firm has also
improved its position for emerging markets.
With the disclosure of these new figures, Cuatrecasas,
Gonçalves Pereira consolidates its position as the Iberian
leader in M&A, after five years holding the top positions
for transaction volume and value.
