published SEPTEMBER 19, 2011 Slaughter and May is advising Texas Instruments Incorporated on its acquisition of National Semiconductor Corporation Slaughter and May is advising Texas Instruments Incorporated ('TI') on the English law aspects of its acquisition of National Semiconductor Corporation (National) for $6.5 billion in an all cash deal. The acquisition was announced on 4 April 2011 and has received US Antitrust clearance and the approval of National's Shareholders. TI is an American company headquartered in Dallas which designs and manufactures semiconductors and computer technology for cellular handsets, digital signal processors and analogue semiconductors. The Slaughter and May team is led by corporate partner Andy Ryde supported by associate Selina Randhawa.
